MAE HELEN STRAND
MAE HELEN STRAND, 97, entered into eternal rest on Sunday September 28, 2014 at Regal Gardens Nursing Facility, in Wayne, New Jersey.
She was born on June 1, 1917 in Accomac, Virginia to the late Nannie Wharton and William Parker. She attended the Accomack County Public Schools and was married to Harvey Strand whom preceded her in death. Also preceding her was a sister, Margaret Trusty, formerly of Hackensack, NJ.
Mae was blessed to be a stay at home mother for the majority of her life before moving to New Jersey with her daughter.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by two daughters, Virginia Spell of Trenton, NJ and Marion (Samuel) Joynes of Paterson, NJ, two grandchildren, Tomica Madden of Auburn, GA and Antwine Joynes of Ridgewood, NJ and beloved cousins (“Little” George Wharton of Baltimore, MD, Margaret (William) Fosque and Lula (Samuel) Seymour of Accomac, VA., a host of cousins, friends and other relatives.
