O'LEISHA DEANNA MEARS
O’Leisha Deanna Mears, was the beloved daughter of Denise and the late Thomas Baker. She was born July 2, 1984 and departed this life on June 7th, 2022. She was known to family and friends as “Duck”. O’Leisha grew up on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and attended the Accomack County public schools. Leisha was a people person who liked to make people smile. It was a part of her beautiful aura. She was always exploring the world traveling to different places and loved spending time with her kids, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded by Ja’Briah Mears Thomas Baker, Michael Mears, Dorsey Mears, Sr and Laura Ann Mears.
O’Leisha leaves to cherish her memories: mother, Denise Baker of Melfa, VA, two daughters, Naiesha Mears of Melfa, VA and Fara Mears of Norfolk, VA; son, Jeremiah Mears of Melfa, VA; two brothers, Mario Baker (she called him her mojo) of Melfa, VA and Carrol Baker of Painter, VA; sister-in-law Kiara Baker, sister, Natasha White of Pungoteague, and brother-in-law, Keith White. Also left to cherish her memories are three grandchildren, Jayce, Nyori and Drayden, a host of nieces nephews, cousins, family and friends.
