WILLIAM TAYLOR

William Taylor, known as Cool Pop, son of the late Louise Williams and John Taylor and husband of the late Mary Brittingham Taylor for 49 years, departed this life on January 30, 2014. He was born November 11, 1922. He attended public schools in Accomack County and started working at a young age for Mason Oil Company. Later in life, he was employed for 20 years at Tom’s Cove Campground performing lawn maintenance.

Cool Pop, was a loving husband and father. He loved riding his lawn mower and cutting grass.

He leaves to cherish precious memories: 4 children, Linda Godwin of Oak Hall, VA, Dorothea Dickerson (Harold) of Oak Hall, VA, Andre Taylor of Oak Hall, VA and Andrea Taylor of Bloxom, VA; and 1 aunt, Virginia Williams. A son, Adrian Taylor, predeceased him. He was a grandfather of 14, great-grandfather of 26 and great-great grandfather of 15. He raised three grandchildren: Richard Robins, Jr., VaSean Armstrong and Adrienne Taylor. Cool Pop had a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was also predeceased by 2 sisters: Madge Taylor and Virginia Parker, and two brothers: Leon Taylor and Randolph Williams.
