GRADEN EARNEST COLLINS

GRADEN EARNEST COLLINS, son of the late John Collins and Eva Taylor Collins, was born on November 20, 1918 in Wicomico County, MD. He departed this life on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Aurora Senior Living of Manokin in Princess Anne, MD.

Graden received an education in the public schools of Wicomico County, MD. As a teenager, he was drafted into the military and later served in WWII before he was honorably discharged. After serving in the military, he resided in Snow Hill, MD where he and the late Annie Pearl Copeland raised six children. Graden spent most of his life in Snow Hill, MD until he became ill in May 2013 and relocated to Aurora Senior Living of Manokin in Princess Anne, MD where he expired at the age of 94.

Graden is preceded in death by two sisters, five brothers and one grandson - Ellen Wise, Louise Hudson, James Collins, Chester Collins, Frances Harmon, David Collins, Enoch Truitt, and VaShawn Bratten. He is survived by his brother, Thomas Collins, his daughters, Rosetta Bratten, Thelma Parker, Barbara Miles, Polly Miles, Katherine (Donald) Milbourne, and his sons, Earnest (Linda) Copeland, Charles Collins, Randall Collins, and William "Bootsie" Collins. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
