SHERLENE CHALETTA SAVAGE

SHERLENE CHALETTA SAVAGE, daughter of Alphine Pettit and the late Irving Bailey, was born January 14, 1960, in Parksley, VA. She departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday July 25, 2015.

She was educated in the public schools of Accomack County and worked at the local Food Bank for years. Later she joined the work force at Perdue farms in Accomack, VA for a total of eighteen years.

She was affectionately known by family and friends as “Shirley girl” and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and best friend. In her spare time, Sherlene loved adoring her grandkids, shopping, looking at the stories and her most favorite thing was cooking and sampling what she created. She was loved and respected by all who knew her and was a long time member of St. Joseph Holiness Church in Atlantic, VA.

She was predeceased in death by her father Irving Bailey. Others left to mourn her loss are: a daughter Nakesh Savage and a son Jabreon Mears both of Melfa, Va, an adopted daughter; Laura Ann Mears of Mappsville, Va; Mother; Alphine Pettit and a special father Wayne Pettit both of Parksley, VA; two grandkids, Kejaun and Na’riyah Savage of Melfa, Va; three brothers Kerwin (Theresa) Savage of Eden, MD; Zachary Savage and Irving Bailey both of Salisbury, MD; two sisters; Gwendolyn (Barry) Fiddemon of Parksley, VA, Cynitha (Oscar) Toney of Nelsonia, VA, Two aunt Missouri Byrd of Salisbury MD; and Lois Robinson; one uncle, John Savage of Parksley, VA; six special nieces, Ciara Mears; Shimeka, Tiveckie, and Mileah Savage all of Melfa, VA; Ariel and Ariyonna Mears of Mappsville, VA; six special nephews Kentrell Savage of Princess Anne, MD, Kerwin, Marcus, Cardell Mears, and Khalil Savage of Melfa, VA, little Zach Jr. of Salisbury MD; one very best friend Kimberly Kellam of Greenbush, VA and a host of other relatives and friends.
