POWELL DAVID MARSHALL

POWELL DAVID MARSHALL, son of the late Frank G. Marshall and Hattie Fisher Marshall, was born April 18, 1935 and was called to his eternal rest on Sunday, February 15, 2015, at his home with his wife beside him.

Powell received his education at old Worcester High and graduated with the class of 1953. He was also in the Army for a short time. He worked at Mountaire Farms part time and was a full time Worcester County School Bus Driver, Bus #16. Powell was a faithful member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church, Chairman of the Trustee Board, a Deacon, and sang with the Male Chorus. He was a quiet but devoted husband and father. He loved his family and friends very dearly. Powell was the type of person who never had anything bad to say about anyone. He will be greatly missed by all, especially here at Mt. Hope.

Left to cherish his loving memories are: his wife of 52 years, Rev. Recie L. Marshall; 1 son, Bruce E. Marshall; 1 special daughter, Cynthia (William) Watson of New Castle, DE.; preceding him in death on February 15, 2003, 1 daughter, Crystal L. Marshall; 1 brother, Paul (Elaine) Marshall of Cumberland, MD.; 3 sisters, Rachel (Jean) St Val of Fruitland, MD.; a God brother, George Bonneville of Eden, MD.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Although our hearts are heavy, we know God’s way is best. Although his passing has brought us great sorrow, we know by the way he lived his life, that he is safe in the arms of Jesus.
