SARAH JOYNES

SARAH JOYNES was born the second child from the late Addie and William Hall on May 18, 1933. She departed this life on March 25, 2013 to be with the Lord. Sarah attended Bayside school in Accomack County. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late George Joynes for many years.

She went to work for Mr. & Mrs. Henry Richardson as their housekeeper on Hills Farm. She traveled with them to Washington, D. C. several times. Later in life she became the housekeeper for the Brown Family until she retired.

Sarah joined Metropolitan United Methodist Church at an early age. In her later years she reaffirmed her faith in Christ as her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Sarah was preceded in death by her sister, Virgie.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a sister, Annette Johnson, (Rev. Dr. Lawrence Johnson) of Lawnside, NJ, two nephews, Larry Johnson of New York, and Mark Johnson (Gloria) of Sicklerville NJ, two special nieces, Shayla and Nyla; a special and devoted cousin, Robert Hall and Odelsie of Accomac, VA; faithful and devoted caretakers, Mrs. Deborah Hall and Ms. Josephine Kellam; special friend Pauline Cutler of Greenbush, VA, and Lonnie Johnson, of Exmore, VA; three nieces Ann Bryant, Carolyn Warrington, and Monica Hill, all of Delaware; Samuel Seymour (Lula) of Accomac, VA, Eula Johnson of Onancock, VA; Mary West (Ernest) of Onancock, VA; Thelma Davis of Bayside, VA; Robert Finney and Johnnie Hall of Philadelphia, Pa and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
