RALPH B. HOLLOMAN

RALPH BERNARD HOLLOMAN was born on February 22, 1925 in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. He was a son of the late Nonnie James Holliman and Mary Bowers Holliman. Elder Holloman departed this life on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 (Independence Day) at 2:30 p.m., from Coastal Hospice by the Lake in Salisbury, Maryland. He was educated in the public schools of Isle of Wight County in Virginia and was raised in Windsor, Virginia. He met and married his first wife, the late Annie Burton Holloman and worked as a seasonal agriculturist at the former Farmers and Planters Company of Salisbury, Maryland until his retirement. Elder Holloman began preaching in Ministry during the year of 1978. Highlights of his Ministry include his service of pastoral Ministry in the International Brotherhood of Yahshua's Disciples (Virginia), under the leadership of Overseer Vicks of Dover, Delaware. He served faithfully in that organization for many years. Also, for the past twelve years, Elder Holloman has preached, taught Bible Study, and served as a trustee in the local church of John Wesley United Methodist Church - Cottage Grove, Westover, Maryland, where his wife currently serves as Pastor. He loved to travel and was a quiet gentleman, who was wise in the Word and Ways of the Lord. His deep wisdom of the Holy Scriptures and his outstanding Christian life example has been a great inspiration to many within the congregation and throughout the community. Elder Holloman leaves the following loved ones to cherish his memory: his devoted and loving second wife of fourteen years, Pastor MY Conquest-Holloman; one daughter, Louise Majette (Husband, Art) of Salisbury, MD; one brother, Elder Arthur Holliman (Wife, Vertly) of Windsor, VA; sister-in-law, Theresa Holliman of Suffolk, VA; son-in-law, Minister Robert Fletcher (wife, Windel) of Temperanceville, VA; two grandchildren, Charlene Rowley of Parksley, VA and Elaine Fletcher of Hallwood, VA; six great grandchildren, Gwen Downing (husband, Preston) of Raleigh, NC, LaTonya Drummond Ellison (husband, Uron) of Onancock, VA, Mariander Drummond of Greensboro, NC; Martines Drummond of Salisbury, MD; Nicole Core of Accomac, VA; and Marlo Core of Hallwood, VA; cousin, Minister Margaret Tull of Salisbury, MD; nieces, Virginia Fenwick of Newport News, VA, and Camilla Ashby of Portsmouth, VA; and nephew, Isaac Holliman (wife, Edna) of Franklin, VA. Also, Elder Holloman leaves eight great-great grandchildren to cherish his memory, as well as a host of other grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. In addition to Ralph's parents and his first wife, there were twelve other brothers and sisters who have preceded him in death. Also, one daughter, Gladys Fletcher and one grandson, Patrick Fletcher, have preceded him in death.
