ALONZO UVONNE PARKER

Alonzo Uvonne Parker began his life’s journey on October 22, 1957 in Nassawadox, Virginia and was born to Lena Lucinda Parker and the late Fred Uvonne Parker. He was educated in the Northampton CountyPublic School System.

Alonzo was affectionately known as “Lonnie” to his family and to all his truck driver friends as “EggBeater”. He was a cherished son, a loving father, brother and long distance truck driver which lasted for thirty-four years. The love of his life was driving a truck. He worked for various trucking companies buthis last known job was driving for Bryan Planter of Temperanceville, VA.

Lonnie traveled from New York to Florida and often would talk about his many trips to Florida and right up to his death he could tell you which route to take without using Map Quest. Lonnie was a jovial person who enjoyed playing cards with his friends, going to the race track and watching his favorite NFL team, The Pittsburgh Steelers. Lonnie often watched his sisters in the kitchen cooking long enough to say “Me Sister that’s not right”.

Alonzo ended his earthly journey on Saturday, December 11, 2021. He leaves to continue in his legacy and love, his mother: Lena Lucinda Parker; son: Travis (Keyona) Wynder, Sr; two sisters: Amanda Bolden and Bridgette (Wayne) Taylor; two brothers: Willie (Stacey) Harmon and Travis Lyons; god-daughter: Yasmine Taylor; three grandchildren: Travis, Jr, Kendrick and Kaleena Wynder, Aunts Mary Della-Fisher, Brenda Pitts, Patricia Elmandorf and Frances Singleton Uncle George Elmandorf,, Marvin Parker, George Parker and Jackie Parker: special friends Joseph Davis, Mark Mapp and Ivan Smith; and a host of nephews, nieces,cousins, family and friends.
