MILTON LEE BERRYHILL, SR.

MILTON LEE BERRYHILL, SR. was born to the late Julian Washington, Jr. and Emma Berryhill-Sample. He was born on September 8, 1966 in Exmore, Virginia and entered peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday, October 26, 2017.

Milton was educated in the Accomack County Public Schools system. After graduating, he entered into the Long Shoremen field in the Washington, DC area for several of his young adult years. Milton loved music and spent many years as a DJ on the Eastern Shore and operating a lawn service.

Milton, also known as Mann (Big Byrd) was a lighthearted, friendly person. He was well known to many for his smile, friendliness, and generosity. You could always rely on him. Milton, also dearly loved his mother, children, and his family. He spent most of his time taking care of his family and enjoyed laughing and talking with them. He was loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.

Milton leaves to cherish his loving memories: his mother, Emma Berryhill-Sample; one step-mother, Reverend Mary Washington; eight children, Catrina Brim, Tasley, VA, Antoine Turner, Pungoteague, VA, Lenita Simpson, Belle Haven, VA, Milton Berryhill, Jr., Accomac, VA, Tayah Berryhill, Melfa, VA, Keondre Singletary, Pungoteague, VA, Deon Singletary, Pungoteague, VA; and Treyce Berryhill, Melfa, VA; four grandchildren, Kenisha Brim, Zy-Layah Bailey, Qualik Turner, and Jakai Berryhill; three sisters, Diane Kellam-Smith (Morris), Exmore, VA, Natasha Washington Mason (Willie), Virginia Beach, VA, and Michelle Sample, Dover, Delaware; three brothers, Julian Washington III (Carrie), Parksley, VA, Quinton Washington (Barbara), Laurel, Maryland, and Cordell Seymore, Melfa, VA; four aunts, Evette Mills, Norfolk, VA, Rev. Evelyn Bannister Sample (James), Onancock, VA, Christine Berryhill, Exmore, VA, and Bertha Finch (Otis), St. Augustine, Florida; four uncles, John Bannister, Parksley, VA, Eugene Bannister (Stephanie), Nassawadox, VA, Sherwood Washington, Sr. (Diane), Hampton, VA, and Calvin Berryhill, Cape Charles; wife, Jeanette Berryhill, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
