DARLENE DENISE DENNIS WALKER
DARLENE DENISE DENNIS WALKER was born on October 11, 1954. She was the adopted daughter of the late Frances Pernell. As a young adult, she was able to reunite with her birth father Henry Wilson. Darlene departed this life Wednesday, February 18, 2015 peacefully in her sleep.
She was educated in the public schools of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She also studied and became a CNA in Virginia. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and recommitted herself back to the Lord last year.
Darlene was an intelligent, generous, sweet and kind person, who loved everyone unconditionally. She was an avid reader and superb writer. We thank God for the life we shared with such a beautiful person.
She leaves to mourn: four daughters, Marcella Dennis of Philadelphia, PA, Shawnetta Dennis of Norfolk, VA, Stephanie Holmes (Kevin) of Virginia Beach, VA and Sharon Dennis of Silver Spring, MD; one brother, Ronald Vann (Shaee-conn) of Philadelphia, PA; One sister, Addie Handy of Bloxom, VA; Six grandchildren, Raheem Dennis, Kevin Holmes Jr., Prince Watkins, Brandyne Holmes, Malkym Watkins and Maleik Watkins; two great-grandchildren, Ahmad Haines and Sadir Jones: extended family members, Estella Armstrong, Ineta McLaughlin, Taria Ann Handy and Handy/Clayton family and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
