AUDREY KEE CHANDLER

AUDREY KEE CHANDLER, our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt and friend transitioned to her home in Zion on October 7, 2013 at Arcadia Nursing Home, in Nelsonia, VA after a brief illness. Audrey was born on June 14, 1930. She was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Matt Kee. She was educated in the public schools of Franklin, VA. Audrey was a ray of love and joy to all who knew her. She was affectionately known by family as Audrey or Auntie In her younger years, she loved working for large department stores in Baltimore and Ocean City, MD, enjoyed cooking, entertaining and listening to music.

Audrey was married to the late George William Chandler.

She accepted her belief in Christ at an early age and was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Baltimore, MD where she served as an usher. In 2006, she relocated to Virginia from Atlanta, GA to be with her daughter and family. There she attended St. Luke in Daugherty.

She is survived by her devoted step daughter Martha White, two granddaughters, Cynthia Smith (Timothy) and Shara JaNae, and one grandson, Douglas White (Tess), one sister, Floretta Briddell of Salisbury, MD, two brothers, Matt Kee, Jr (Pam) of Berlin, MD and Clifford Kee (Virginia), Newark, NJ, special nephew, Gerald Boone (Fran), of Atlanta, GA, two favorite nieces, Tarain & Tara Boone of Atlanta, GA, a special nephew, Floyd E. Nedab, III (Shirl) and a host of other family members and devoted friends of the Eastern Shore.

She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, and sister, Marigola Henry and brother James Kee.
