RICHARD JOHNSON, JR.
Richard Johnson, Jr. was born December 9, 1957 to the late Mary E. Johnson and Richard Johnson, Sr. He departed this life on May 3, 2020 to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was the oldest of nine children and was educated in the Accomack County public schools. He worked at Tyson’s, Perdue, Hardee’s and the in Accomack County school system until he became ill.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Joyce Johnson and they enjoyed twenty-one years together. Richard was a man who enjoyed his family and playing cards.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Naomi and Isabella, and two brothers, Johnny and Curtis Johnson.
He leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Joyce Johnson, her children, four sisters: Margaret Johnson, Daisey Mae (Johnny) Edmonds of Homestead, FL, Mary Johnson of Virginia Beach, VA, and Patricia Johnson (Danny Savage, Sr) of Painter, VA; one brother, David Johnson of Parksley, VA; eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
