JOHN LEWIS SAVAGE

John Lewis Savage departed this life peacefully in his sleep after a lengthy illness on August 29, 2019. He was born on October 19, 1941 to the late Clifton and Luvenia Savage in Gargatha, VA.

“Johnny” as he was affectionately known, held several jobs and was a jovial person with a caring heart and always willing to give a helping hand.

He worked at Perdue in Accomac, VA for several years then later went to work for Donald Young as a farm laborer until his health began to fail.

He attended St. Joseph Holiness Church in Atlantic, VA under the leadership of Pastor Marlene Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his sister: Alphine (Wayne) Pettit of Parksley, VA, nephews: Kerwin, Zachery and Kentrell Savage; nieces: Cynthia (Oscar) Toney of Nelsonia, VA, Tiveckie, Shimeka and Nakesh Savage, Laura Ann and Ciera Mears and other speical nephews Cardell, Kerwin and Marcus Mears and a host of other relatives, and friends.
