THOMAS JEFFREY PARKER

Thomas Jeffrey Parker was born on February 24, 1957 to the late George E. Parker and Gertrude Maggie Brim Parker. After a lengthy illness, he departed this life at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD on December 2, 2018, as his brother and two of his sisters held his hand.

He was educated in the Accomack County public school system. He loved fishing in the Chesapeake Bay of Virginia and also sang with his mother. When he would do something wrong, he had this laugh and special smile. At an early age, he worked at John Van Kesteren in Tasley, VA. On August 31, 1974, he began his service in the National Guard. He later moved to Trenton, NJ in 1980 and worked for the Trenton Dressed Meat Packing Company.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Vernon Edward Parker, Sr. of Baltimore, MD and George Ernest Parker of Tasley, VA.

He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Thomas Jefferson Kellam of Accomack, VA; two grandsons, Diquante West of Fruitland, MD, and Briante West of Crisfield, MD; three great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters; one brother James William Parker of Tasley, VA; three sisters, Mamie Diane Parker-Kellam, and Saundra Rosetta Parker-White, both of Bear, DE and Thelma Diane Chance of Baltimore, MD; two uncles; Solomon Parker and David Parker of Tasley, VA; one sister-in-law, Gloria W. Parker of Baltimore, MD; five nieces, seven nephews, great-great nephews and nieces, great-great-great nephews and nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.
