MARY ETTA BISHOP
Mary Etta (Petie) Bishop, beloved daughter of the late Vietta Taylor-Collins and Willie Bishop was born on September 28, 1930 in New Church, Virginia. She received her heavenly wings on November 28, 2017 at her residence.
Mary was educated in the public schools of Accomack County and was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.
She worked for Golden Pride Poultry Processing Plant until it closed, and Holly Farms until retirement.
Mary was a very cheerful and loving person and her smile will be dearly missed.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories: two sisters, Oliphian Hall of New Church, VA and Gloria Taylor of New Jersey; three brothers, Robert (Joanne) Holden of Princess Anne, MD, John Taylor of New Jersey; and Julius Cropper; one sister-in-law, Peggy Bishop of Atlantic, VA; a very devoted cousin and care giver, Lela Taylor and a devoted friend Ms. Delores Hargis; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Winfred Bishop, a nephew, Tyrone Hall, a niece Carolyn Harsey and great-niece Raven Roberts.
