DEBRA MAE MANUEL

OBITUARY I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink and find satisfaction in all their toil - this is the gift of God. Ecclesiastes 3:10-13 DEBRA MAE MANUEL (Debbie), beloved daughter of the late Naomi Manuel and the late Charles Taylor was born on July 24, 1958. She was raised by the late Zola and Charles Collins. She peacefully departed this life in Pocomoke City, Maryland on January 5, 2011. Debbie received her formal education in the New Jersey Public School System. Debbie loved God and read the word often. She was a woman of many talents. Debbie was a blackjack dealer in Atlantic City and fried the best chicken and baked the best cakes you’ve ever tasted. She enjoyed laughing, card games, cooking, nurturing her plants and reading. Debbie loved children and all children loved her. She had a God given ability to make people laugh and make anyone feel at home with her infectious smile and quick wit. She was loved in her community by many. Debbie was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a kind, caring, and generous woman who was willing to help anyone she could. Whenever anyone needed her, she was there with a smile on her face and arms wide open to help. Debbie was a devoted family member who truly enjoyed being around her family and friends, especially when her children, nieces and nephews were all together. She leaves fond memories to be cherished by her three children, Tamesha Townsend of Baltimore, MD; Earl Townsend and Alex Manuel, both of Pocomoke City, MD; granddaughter, Jasmine Kamesha Townsend of Pocomoke City, MD; aunts, Pauline Waters of Pocomoke City, MD and Lottie Manuel of Salisbury, MD; brothers, Shawn Taylor of Pocomoke City, MD and Timothy Taylor of Ocean City, MD; sisters, Janet West (Leon) of Newark, DE and Tiara Manuel of Snow Hill, MD. Her sister, Beverly Annette Manuel; brothers, Alexander Leon Manuel (Sheila) and Martin Bruce Manuel preceded her in death. Debbie will also be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. A chapter completed; a page turned. A life well lived; a rest well earned.
